Pay – $40 – $65/hr

Job Description:

 

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vascular Sonographer to join our team. As a Vascular Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound examinations to assess blood flow and vascular abnormalities in patients of all ages.

 

Responsibilities:

 

– Perform vascular ultrasound examinations using high-frequency sound waves to visualize blood vessels and assess blood flow.

– Evaluate and interpret ultrasound images to identify abnormalities, such as arterial blockages, venous thrombosis, or vascular malformations.

– Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans based on ultrasound findings.

– Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the examination process, providing clear instructions and addressing any concerns or questions.

– Maintain accurate patient records and ultrasound documentation, including image capture, measurements, and diagnostic impressions.

– Adhere to established protocols and safety standards for ultrasound equipment operation and patient care.

 

Qualifications:

 

– Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.

– RVS, RPHS, or RVT certification under CCI or ARDMS in Vascular Sonography required.

– Proficiency in performing a wide range of vascular ultrasound procedures, including carotid, arterial, and venous studies.

– Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology related to vascular imaging.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, physicians, and colleagues.

– Attention to detail and the ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a multidisciplinary team.

– Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems) preferred.
