General Information

• Number of Beds – 17
• Number of Staff – Currently Recruiting
• Type of staff:
• Day Shift – ( example 1 charge, 3 RN, 2 CNA, and 1-3 sitters) Depending on Census 5:1 Ratio
• Night Shift – Depending on Census
• Patient Ratios – 5:1
• Type of equipment – 2 Rooms hardwired monitors, other beds have tele availability, 5 beds have wired Pulse OX. WelchAllyn vital sign monitors upload to Meditech
• EMR – Meditech
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
• BLS, ACLS
•
Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.
• Prior COVID experience
• Tele and/or PCU as this unit takes all levels of patients with the exception of ICU
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
• BiPaP, CPAP
• High Flow NC O2
• Care of COVID patient and their needs
Best personality Fit:
• Willing to work COVID – this is a dedicated COVID unit
• Team Player
• Compassion for patients not allowed visitors
Unit Guidelines/Policies : Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines.
• All patients on this unit are on isolation – including gowns, masks and face/eye protection.
Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their assignment: Consider items such as new equipment or technology, tenure and experience of staff, schedule options, etc. * Remember it is a very competitive market any information you can provide will help attract talent .
This unit is very rewarding with patients being extremely thankful for the care provided. Staff need to be willing to reach out to families to provide updates, as this unit does not allow visitors due to being dedicated to caring for our COVID patient.
