Unit Information: ICU (650)

Location: Methodist Hospital South

Address: 1905 HWY 97 E. Jourdanton TX. 78206
Floor: ICU

Building: Main Hospital

General Information

Tell us about the unit(s):
• Number of Beds -6
• Number of Staff – 6
• Type of staff:
o Day Shift – 1 charge, and 1Monitor Tech
o Night Shift – 1 charge, and 1Monitor Tech
• Patient Ratios – 2 or 3:1
• Type of equipment -Monitors, vents other ICU equipment
• EMR -HMS

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
• ACLS
• 2 yrs. ICU experience
• Be willing to float a medical surgical telemetry unit during low census.
• Experience with assisting with TEE / Cardioversion
• Experience in caring for patients receiving cardiac drips, diuretic drips along with patients on ventilators, BiPAP, C-PAP, CVP and ART line management
Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.
• Dobutamine and Lexiscan Stress tests
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
• Patients receiving cardiac drips, Diuretic drips patients on ventilators, BiPAP, C-PAP
• Thoracentesis; paracentesis,

Dress Code : Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.
• Scrub Color – Navy Blue
