Unit: PCU (629)
Classification: RN – PCU

Shift Detail: 7A-7:30P / 7P-7:30A
Building/Floor/Suite information of unit: NEW UNIT / OPENING 4/2020

General Information

Shift Details- Please correct information below if needed:

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks

• Shift/Workdays: 7A-7:30P / 7P-7:30A

• Weekend – Rotation weekends

• Call Requirements: No

• Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hrs.

• Special Skills/Experience required: 2 Years +

***All travelers are required to float, while on the interview please inform traveler of the Methodist Floating Policy***

Unit Specifics – Information below is requested for better sourcing:

• Patient Ratios: 3:1

• Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries, free Charge Nurse):

• Type of equipment : Common to ICU

• Documentation system: Meditech

• Scheduling requirements: 36 hours per week – 3 – 12 hour shifts with alternating weekends.

• Floating policy: As needed

Hiring profile

Requested Skill Set:

Must have : (candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role)

NIH REQUIRED

• BLS

• ACLS

• 2+ YEARS OF HOSP EXPERIENCE

Preferred Skills/Advanced Skills Needed: (candidates with these skills will be considered first)

MEDITECH EXPERIENCE PREFERRED


Specialty/Unit Certifications Required: (RN)

Active TX Rn License-Temp License will NOT be accepted


Procedures performed on unit:

• Peripheral IV start

• Foley, NGT insertions

• Charting with Meditech

• Monitor cardiac

• Cardiac and some hemodynamic monitoring, Endo Tool

Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.

Scrub Color

o RN: Navy-scrub top and pant, Navy or white scrub jacket

Nail Policy – Clean and Healthy

Hair – hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors. Beards, mustaches and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed

Tattoos – Body art should be covered whenever possible. Body art that is not feasible to cover on a daily basis will be addressed individually

Piercings – Visible piercings other than ears, is prohibited
