General Information

Tell us about the unit(s):
• Number of Beds – 457 beds; 14 ORs (1 Open Heart Room; In process of coordinating for 2 Open Hearts)
• Number of Staff – 8 staff members (4 RNs, 4 Techs)
• Type of staff:
o Day Shift – 7a-3p with call coverage after 3p and weekend call
o Night Shift – Call coverage
• Patient Ratios – 1:1
• Type of equipment – Standard OR equipment
• EMR – Meditech

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for:

Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
• Open Heart
• Cardiothoracic service line
Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.
• Other service lines (Trauma, Gen, Gyn, Uro, Ortho, Neuro, Plastics etc) Staff will be floated to other ORs when no open hearts scheduled

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
• CABG (with and without EVH)
• Impellas, Pericardial windows, Valve replacements, ECMO
Best personality Fit:
• Dependability and flexibility
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
• BLS, ACLS
Floating Area(s):
• Operating Room

Dress Code :
• Scrub Color/Attire – Navy Blue
