Unit Specifics – Information below is requested for better sourcing:
• Number of Beds: 19 beds
• Patient Ratios : 1:1 and 1:2 (ACOG/AWHONN guidelines)
• Unit staffing description: 19 bed high risk LDR
• Type of equipment : EFM
• Documentation system: Meditech/ CPN
• Scheduling requirements: modified self-scheduling. They can give us desired shifts and we balance the schedule.
• Floating policy: As needed to antepartum
Hiring profile
Requested Skill Set:
Must have: (candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role)
• Ability to care for high risk antepartum, labor, and recovery patients. Must be able to check a cervix
• BLS
• NRP
• AWHONN
• 2+ Years of Hosp. experience
Preferred Skills/Advanced Skills Needed: (candidates with these skills will be considered first) Experience with the following:
• Advanced FM is a plus. RNC-OB is a plus. Neither are required
• If you can scrub a section, that is great.
• Place internal monitors is a plus
Specialty/Unit Certifications Required: (RN)
• Certifications: NRP, Intermediate FM
• ACTIVE TX RN LICENSE – Temp license will not be accepted
Procedures performed on unit:
• IVs, Check Cervix
Patient Experience Required:
• Labor care
Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.
• Scrub Color
• RN: We provide hospital scrubs
• Nail Policy – Clean and Healthy, no artificial nails, gel, next gen, etc.
• Hair – hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors. Beards, mustaches and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed. Hair must be pulled back if shoulder length or longer when working in the lab.
• Tattoos – Body art should be covered whenever possible. Body art that is not feasible to cover on a daily basis will be addressed individually
• Piercings – Visible piercings other than ears is prohibited. This includes nose rings, tongue rings, etc.
