Alaska Regional Hospital Travel RN ** Alaska perm RN license is required for submission ** Operating Room (701) Shift: 0630-1900. Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Start Date: asap Assignment Length: 13 Weeks Experience Needed: Ortho, Total Joints, Neuro, Robotics.
Call will vary from one month to the next. Typically it is 5-6 shifts every 8 weeks

Tell us about the unit(s):

• Number of Beds - 11 ORs
• Shift for this position - Three twelve-hour shifts (weekends if possible)
• Call Expectation - Based on the number of employees taking call, averaging 5-6 weekday shifts and 1 weekend shift (Average for 8 week sign up period)
• Number of Staff - Varies depending on day
• Type of staff:
o Day Shift - Average of 8 RNs, 8 Scrub techs and 5 Surgical support techs
o Night Shift - One charge RN and one scrub tech in house with call team backup
• Patient Ratios - 1:1
• Type of equipment - Variety of OR beds and equipment
• EMR - Epic

Skill Set Most recruited for: OR RN

Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
• Patient advocate as circulator while being a resource for the sterile field
Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.
• Experience as circulator
• Experience as Scrub
• CNOR
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
• Total Joints, Multi-level spine fusions, Variety of Xi Robotic cases (GYN, Colorectal, General)
• Very little ENT, Dental, Eyes or plastics
Best personality Fit:
• Positive outlook. Willing to work with team members.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
• Alaska RN license
• BLS
• ACLS
