Job Description

Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

Job Duties

  • Assist the surgical team with preparing the operating room prior to procedures.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain sterile equipment and instruments.
  • Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures and instrumentation.
  • Properly prepare and handle surgical specimens.
  • Perform instrument cleaning, decontamination, and sterilization in accordance with established protocols.
  • Assemble and maintain sterile instrument trays.
  • Follow all sterile technique standards and infection control guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support surgical operations.

Education & Experience

  • Completion of a Surgical Technology program from an accredited technical school or institution.

Licensure / Certification

  • Valid Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or degree in Surgical Technology.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
