Job Description
Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
Job Duties
- Assist the surgical team with preparing the operating room prior to procedures.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain sterile equipment and instruments.
- Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
- Demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures and instrumentation.
- Properly prepare and handle surgical specimens.
- Perform instrument cleaning, decontamination, and sterilization in accordance with established protocols.
- Assemble and maintain sterile instrument trays.
- Follow all sterile technique standards and infection control guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support surgical operations.
Education & Experience
- Completion of a Surgical Technology program from an accredited technical school or institution.
Licensure / Certification
- Valid Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
Job Requirements
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or degree in Surgical Technology.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
