General Information

Unit Specifics:

• Scrub Color(s)- any

• Number of Beds : 24 acute/swing beds, 40 nursing home beds, 10 skilled beds within nursing home

• Patient Ratios : 1:1

• Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Rehab department (PT/OT/SLP)

• Type of equipment : typical equipment for rehab services. Treatment provided in patients room, hallway, outdoor areas, and in rehab gym

• Documentation system: Cerner and NetHealth

• Scheduling requirements: 40 hours per week, schedule needs to be reviewed during interview with rehab manager

• Floating policy: clinician will be asked to float between acute/swing, nursing home, and out-patient services as indicated

• Patient Experience requirements: Perfer clinician with at least 3 years of experience in medical setting

• Certifications: CPR, NC Physical Therapy license

Must have: Experience in hospital and/or nursing home setting.

Advanced skills needed: n/a

Procedures performed on unit: Physical therapy evaluations, establish plan of care, assist with rounds and care conferences as indicated. Frequent communication with rehab team on patients progress, needed equipment, and discharge needs

Certifications Required: Must have CPR certification and NC PT license

• We have a wonderful, collaborative team who strives for best patient care. We truly love our job, where we work, and where we live. Our HR department does a great job of celebrating staff- such as popcorn Fridays, and frequent celebrations. Our hospital is stroke certified, and the majority of our beds are swing bed patients. We are a rehab focused hospital. Our nursing home facility is a 5-star rated facility. Additionally, we have 2 out-patient clinics for continuum of care.

Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their assignment: Consider items such as new equipment or technology, tenure and experience of staff, schedule options, etc.

• New rehab gym will break ground this summer, and we are currently designing an outdoor gym. Our current rehab gym has all equipment needed, but we are ready to expand. The nursing home has a gym as well. Clinicians have full access to both gyms.
