Location: Evans Emergency FSED

General Information
Unit Specifics:
• Number of Beds : 11
• Patient Ratios : 1:4, 1:6, acuity based.
• Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : PCTs scheduled mid-shift. RNs and PCTs are responsible for running point of care (POC) labs. RNs responsible for set up and adjustment of respiratory equipment for patients, with assistance available via phone from main hospital.
• Type of equipment : Cardiac/Vital Sign Monitors in all patient rooms, equipped with all necessary supplies and equipment, CT, Xray, POC lab
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Scheduling special requirements: every other weekend required
• Floating policy: possibility of floating to main ED
• Patient Experience requirements: AIDET, narration of care, SBAR for dept, admission, transfer handoff
Hospital Specifics-
• Certifications: Level II trauma, Cardiac Care, Primary Stroke Center, Burn Center, Level II NICU
Hiring profile
Years of Experience Required: 2 years
Requested Skill Set: Experienced ED RN comfortable with most commonly seen ED chief complaints as well as care of the trauma patient.
Must have : Required certifications and experience. Positive, flexible, team-oriented, patient-centered personality
Advanced skills needed: Experienced ED RN
Procedures performed on unit: IV insertion, Foley catheter insertion, NG tube insertion, assist providers with various ED procedures common to the ED setting.
Certifications Required: TNCC, ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS
Dress Code : (Required uniform)
• Royal Blue Scrubs
Unit Guidelines/Policies : Please attach unit specific policies and guidelines.
• Frequent admissions to main hospital from FSED.

Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their assignment: Consider items such as new equipment or technology, tenure and experience of staff, schedule options, etc.
• New facility, built from the ground up, with all new equipment. Opportunity to stretch and learn new skills running bipap and ventilator equipment and point of care labs. In process of building fully staffed team for FSED. Offer 48 hrs. per week and required to work every other weekend.
