General Information

Tell us about the unit(s):

• Number of Beds - 21

• Number of Staff - 45

• Type of staff:

• Day Shift - 1 Charge Nurse with no patient assignment, 6-8 nurses

• Night Shift - same

• Patient Ratios - 2:1 ICU standard nurse to patient ration, unless the pt is step down status then 3:1 or very high acuity, then 1:1

• Type of equipment - Hospira IV pumps

• EMR - Meditech

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

• Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital ICU experience

• BLS, ACLS & NIH

Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.

• Cardiac experience

• CRRT

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):

• Intubation, central line insertion

• Bronchoscopy, endoscopy

• Vasopressor IV drip titration, ventilator management

• Care of Sepsis, arrhythmias, Med/Surg critical care patients

Unit Guidelines/Policies : Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines.

• Required to work every 3rd weekend, one major winter holiday, self-scheduling, float to Telemetry and other HealthONE hospitals

Small community hospital, patients are mostly elective, Magnet designated, Intensivist in ICU 24/7
