Tell us about the unit(s): Tele/PCU Cardiac Unit
• Number of Beds -29 private rooms
• Number of Staff - 18 current staff
• Type of staff: RT, RN, CN, Throughput manager, Case Manager, Rehab, Director/Manager, Ancillary
• Day Shift - (1 CN, 2 PCT, 1 UC, 7 RNs) Sitters if needed
• Night Shift - (1 CN, 2 PCT, 7 RNs)
• Patient Ratios - Either 1:4 or 1:5
• Type of equipment - Telemetry monitoring, continuous pulse ox
• EMR -Meditech
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for:
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
• ACLS, BLS, Telemetry experience
•
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
• NIH Stroke Prepared
• PALS, ICU, Tele, PCU experience
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
• Blood transfusions, IV starts, Midline/central line removals, high fall risk patient populations
• Respiratory and cardiac assessments
•
Best personality Fit:
• Team player, engaged, self-motivator
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
• ACLS/BLS
Floating Area(s):
• Med surg, Tele, PCU, ED Holds
Dress Code:
• Scrub Color/Attire - Navy Blue
