\u2022 Patient Ratios : 1:5 with occasional 1:6
\u2022 Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : The unit qualifies for a tech at 10-15 patients, no unit secretaries, the charge nurse is within ratio.
\u2022 Type of equipment : Transfer equipment readily available as needed (ex: sara steady, Hoyer lift, etc.). We just became wired for cardiac telemetry. We have IV equipment, kangaroo pumps for tube feedings.
\u2022 Documentation system: Meditech
\u2022 Scheduling requirements: Shifts are 5-5. Prioritizing a day shift need, but also in need for night shift help.
\u2022 Floating policy: Contract labor is first to float.
\u2022 Patient Experience requirements: Round with your patients each shift and ensure they being prepared for discharge adequately.
