Unit Specifics:<\/b> <\/i>
\u2022 Number of Beds: 36
\u2022 Patient Ratios: 1:3 AM, 1:4 PM or 1:4AM, 1:5PM (with patient care techs)
\u2022 Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): Typically, total RN based care with no techs. Secretaries are scheduled 7am-7pm in the PCU and are available for a number of resources.
\u2022 Type of equipment: BiPAP, Heated High-Flow Nasal Cannulas, Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo Feeding Pumps
\u2022 Documentation system: Meditech
\u2022 Scheduling requirements: FT Staff: 36 hours\/week with every 3rd weekend rotation, PT staff: 48 hours\/week with every 3rd weekend rotation, PRN 1 Staff: 3 shifts in a 4-week period with 1 weekend shift requirement, PRN 2 Staff: 6 shifts in a 4-week period with 3 weekend shift requirements. Rotating holiday schedule.
