Pharmacist Needed
Looking for someone who can do a flex shift depending on the unit needs.
We work 10 hour shifts (except night shift on the weekend is 12 hour shift). Our day shift generally speaking starts at 6:45 -5:15p, our evening shift is generally 12-10:30p and our night shift is either 7p-7a or 9p-7a depending on the date. We have the largest need on days and weekend days but there may be a request to work beyond this.
We do not schedule turn and burn where you work evening shift today and then the next shift day shift.
Unit Specific Details
Previous experience working in Retail, Ambulatory, Outpatient, Hospital, Acute Care, or Home Infusion pharmacy
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy OR PharmD Degree Pharmacist License in the state of Ohio
Job Description
I. Primary
Function/General Purpose of Position
The Team Member is responsible for providing
ethical and professional pharmaceutical care, specific to all ages of patients
that service is provided to, within the framework of hospital and departmental
policy, professional standards of practice, state and federal laws and TJC
requirements.
II. Employment
Qualifications
• B.S.
degree from an accredited school of pharmacy or equivalent.
• License
or eligible for licensure in OH
•
One
or two-years hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
III. Essential
Job Functions
• The
employee is able to demonstrate general competency in providing Age Appropriate
Care as indicated by the ability to plan, provide, and evaluate care based on
the physiological, psychosocial, intellectual, and safety developmental needs
of the patient.
•
Prepares
and dispenses medication orders per physician request according to established
policies, procedures, and protocols.
•
Ensures
safe, appropriate, cost-effective medication therapies for patients according
to established polices, procedures, and protocols.
•
Contributes
to the quality and effective operation of the department.
•
Maintains
competence required for current job title/position.
• Performs
other duties as assigned by supervisor.
