General Information

Shift Details- Please correct information below if needed:

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks

• Shift/Workdays: 7P-7:30A

• Weekend – Rotating

• Call Requirements: No

• Guaranteed Hours: 36

• Special Skills/Experience required: 2 years +

• Other Helpful or Misc. Information:

***All travelers are required to float, while on the interview please inform traveler of the Methodist Floating Policy***

Unit Specifics – Information below is requested for better sourcing:

• Number of Beds : 11

• Patient Ratios : 1:4

• Unit staffing description: 7a- 3 RNs, 10a- 1 RN, 10a- 1 ER tech, 12p-12a- 1 RN (starting 5/6 12p positon will be moved to 3p), 7p- 3RNs

• Type of equipment :

• Documentation system: Meditech

• Scheduling requirements: Self scheduling initially performed by staff, then agency will have opportunity to offer availability with the understanding final decision is determined by the director

• Floating policy: As needed

Hiring profile

Requested Skill Set:

Must have: (candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role)

• BLS

• ACLS

• TNCC

• PALS or ENPC

• At least 2.5 years of ED Experience

• Excellent Time Management Skills

Preferred Skills/Advanced Skills Needed: (candidates with these skills will be considered first)

• Meditech Experience/EDM

Specialty/Unit Certifications Required: (RN)

• Active TX RN License – Temp license will NOT be accepted

Procedures performed on unit:

• Proficiency in ESI triage, splinting, STEMI and Stroke processes, assist with Chest tubes, central lines, and lunbar punctures

Patient Experience Required:

• AIDET, Use Of Communication boards, goal of 75th %tile

Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.

• Scrub Color

• RN: Navy-scrub top and pant, Navy or white scrub jacket

• Nail Policy – Clean and Healthy

• Hair – hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors. Beards, mustaches and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed

• Tattoos – Body art should be covered whenever possible. Body art that is not feasible to cover on a daily basis will be addressed individually

• Piercings – Visible piercings other than ears, is prohibited
