Job Title – RN – Emergency Room (ER)
Location – Indianapolis, IN
Pay – $2600 – $2808/wk
Schedule Details – Night, 4X12
MUST BE FLEXIBLE WITH WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS, WEEKEND REQUIREMENT WILL BE BASED ON UNIT NEEDS. TRAVELERS MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 50% OF THE WEEKENDS IN THEIR CONTRACT.
IU Health University and Methodist are teaching facilities and require all travel nurses to agree to the possibility of precepting and/or being assigned students to shadow them while on assignment. Please only submit candidates that are okay with these requirements.
Traveler must have IN/Compact license in hand or have submitted their fingerprint application package for their license to apply for this position.
Locals: NOT accepted. *** Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to 1) make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR 2) if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract 3) If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract
Certification Requirements: BCLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, and TNCC
Skillset Requirements: Minimum 3 Years of Acute Care RN Experience, Level 1 Trauma Center, STEMI & Stroke Certified Facility, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Blood Product Administration, Phlebotomy, Starting IVs, Continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, Procedural Sedation Administration, CVA, Traumatic Brain injury, Ortho-Trauma, CPAP/BiPAP, Interpretation of ABGs, Ventilated patients, Isolation Precautions, Triage, and Cerner
Staffing Ratios: 1:4
Patient Diagnoses:
Level 1 Trauma
Level 1 STEMI
Comprehensive Stroke
Level 1 PE
Special Equipment:
Alaris IV pumps
Belmont blood transfusers
Stryker beds
Philips monitors
Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RNs to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW). **Periop/OR RNs, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11/30 deadline. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS** Shift Info: Night 4×12-Hour (19:00 – 07:30)
