General Information
Tell us about the unit(s):
• Number of Beds -39
• Number of Staff – to date: PT (9 PRN) (9 F.T) and (2 Part-Time)
o Utilize PT/OT partners for collaboration and consistency during patient care.
• Type of staff:
o Day Shift -Physical Therapist- Days rotating weekend
• Patient Ratios – 4 to 5 patient per day
• Type of equipment – sarasteady, hoyer, overhead harness track, biodex, bioness, nutstep, neurogym, sanding frame, Chattanooga, leg press.
• EMR -Meditech
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for:
Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
• Basic Cardiac life support
• Bachelors of Science, or higher degree from university in Physical Therapy.
• Physical Therapy License issued by the Executive Council of Physical therapy and Occupational Therapy (ECPTOTE) Texas State Board
Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.
• Prefer one of more years of experience in acute or inpatient rehab physical therapy setting
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
• You will provide evaluations and treatment interventions within the scope of practice established by law and professional code of ethics.
• You will assess and evaluate therapeutic/rehabilitative/functional status and participate in the development of the total plan of care.
• You will provide purposeful and skilled therapeutic care at patients home, using procedures and techniques to produce a change in condition/function consistent with the physicians plan of care.
• You will instruct patient/family/caregiver in the use of therapies, exercises, therapeutic appliances, and/or prosthetic devices to be used outside of therapy sessions.
• You will prioritize caseload, determine daily staffing needs and coordinate assignments/handoffs.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
• Bachelors of Science, or higher degree from university in Physical Therapy.
• Physical Therapy License issued by the Executive Council of Physical therapy and Occupational Therapy (ECPTOTE) Texas State Board
Floating Area(s):
• Could float to other Methodist Inpatient Rehab Facilities (in the event of an unexpected drop in census)
Dress Code :
• Scrub Color/Attire – Olive green scrub top with black scrub pants
Unit Guidelines/Policies : Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines.
• Will orient to guidelines/policies upon start date
Weekends and On call(if any)
• Minimum requirement is 2 weekend days per schedule period.
